Hint: He’s named after a Hall of Fame basketball player from the Boston Celtics.

Why him?
One of Twitter’s founders is from Boston and was a fan of the player growing up.
Interestingly, Twitter never made a huge deal about it…it was discovered a few years ago by tweets from Twitter’s internal team referring to the bird.
The question the industry now has is…what species is the blue bird?
When asked, Twitter’s team replied that it’s a secret.
